I'm pretty competent and I did my old vectra one before and that was a nightmare. I have all the locking tools too so once payday comes ill get the parts. assuming the last person timed it right should be no problem as its right in front of me.

My experience is that its more to do with hours running than yrs/mileage.I have an x reg mv6,ex met police ,all motorway miles,changed original belt kit at 92k and it was A1.Also until last sept had an ex tvp r reg mv6,changed original belt kit also at 92k with a Gates Kit - motorway miles since 2003 now on 172k and running strong.........
I think 4 yrs 4o k may be a little conservative but its an individual judgement...........

I agree with the above to an extent, its also boils down to pot luck too lol.
