In the future (Next Year Possibly) I was considering taking on another project!

I was thinking about creating a double cab pick up out of a face lift omega estate.

I have done a very bad edit of an estate I found on Ebay. Edited by me to look like a pick up lol.

Do you think it would look ok?

The wheels will be different and a bodykit would be added along with tinted rear lights etc... not necessarily silver.

Here is the picture:

Sorry mate, as it is the proportions are all wrong  :(

Nah , don't do it . It'll never look right.

Careful, if opinions are not what he likes, he may not post on the thread  ::)

Have to agree though, its never going to look right. Part of the issue is the glass, there is no body panels to shape/cut down, its going to have to be "added".

Much better getting a Holden version:

I'm a wee bit confused here ,is the poster suggesting I was abusive in my reply to his request for opinions to his proposed project ? ................

Tunnies photo is a perfect example of the choices available.
I could have elaborated and suggested that he go down the route of constructing a "ute " from the estate as per the blue Holden in the foreground or if you look in the background you'll see the "builders Nissan Cabstar " which is remarkably close to the original photoshopped suggestion.
One looks svelte , the other , 'um , lets say practical. ::)

Nah, it was his other thread, for "opinions" on tinting lights, which he took offence too. Think it was my comment too  ::)

for me it looks all wrong you need to lose the rear quarterlights for it to look right or it will just look like an omega with the wagon bit chopped off but i can see where you're at if you put the right kit with it it may look o.k but personally the rear windows are way too large for it but if you do go ahead i would suggest the facelift as the longer bumpers will set it off better in my opinion. look forward to the results.

The other thread went from opinions to ABUSE! I don't mind opinions but when people start ranting and raving and acting like OAP's and Children it gets rediculous especially when they start using personal insults.

I don't mind people saying they like the idea or don't like the idea but the other post post wasn't just opinions now, WAS IT!!!

And that thread was bullying too!  >:( ::)

I reported the people involved and it was dealt with, and I wont put up with it from anyone on any site or in person!

I have been nothing but nice to everyone and respectful.

Glad to see the "I'm gonna police the site the way I want" folks have arrived ... surprised it took a whole 100 posts.

Perhaps ... just perhaps ... it's YOU that has taken comments the wrong way ???

I had not realised the forum management had changed overnight ??

would have to agree, read the other post(out of interest! ;)) and can't say it justifies abuse just opinions and alot of them i would agree with if i'm totally honest but you have to realise that the people on this site are pracical people and normally will take there hat off to individuality (like your project) but maybe don't want to be on the road behind someone with black tail lights! which is where the strong opinions come in!

That idea would work alot better on a Volvo 900 estate. :y

But each to their own I guess :-/

Some people get paid to think up these 'creations'... Nissan designers for one. :o

Tbh, if you want to do it then go for it.  If anyone else isn't happy then who cares?

Just do a better job than this:
