After removing the failing gearbox from my car the other day and finding that the replacement I bought is the wrong one...  What is worse is that the part of the fault with the old box is a complete failure of the main shaft bearing (which now wiggles about like a teaspoon in a cup of coffee)!!!

So effectively I have put my own car off the road at a time when I really do need it...

So, I was wondering who else has had similar experiences...
