Ok here is another question, what is the average salary of someone who owns a Omega... meaning is it affordable to drive around and even do mods to them... I noticed most of the ones on here are untouched but that could be due to personal preference.  I just looked back and I was shocked that I spent 2000$ on mine, and I didnt even notice it...

My montly pay is around 3000$ take tax out of that I probably bring home 2500$ and figured 1 tank per week is about 200$/mo in fuel, add insurance payments and other stuff and I am easily over the 500$ mark... is it the same over in EUROPE?

Catera, what you pay for a gallon, we pay for a litre!!

Then again, our "standard" fuel is 95 Ron, i noticed thats the "premium" fuel over there, as 88RON is the cheapo stuff.

You can't get anything lower than 95 RON here.

We have 87, 89, and 93, the Catera only takes 93 and that is at 3.49$ and the other two are .10$ less per grade.  the funny thing is no matter how high petrol jumps it always stays .10$ gap between each grade.  and I am not sure how they rate them but someone was telling me that your 95 is the same or very similar to the 87 here.

But no kidding the gas in europe is super expensive.  These prices are a bit outdated, I think we are about 3.70$ in chicago at this point...

You can also go on here...  http://www.detroitgasprices.com/price_by_county.aspx?z=0&lat=37.492187&long=-89.046875 and play with the map to see where the cheapest and most expensive petrol is.. for the states...

If it had been a manual i might have been tempted! Close to me too.

I have had a 3.0 Auto, but had to keep the 2.2 cause i must have a manual!

... well I think manual is the way to go, even thou automatics are becoming more and more efficient and in fact the last car I drove had an automatic that shifted just like a manual, with a little pause and RPM drop between gear shifts... it felt fantastic...

The new DSGs from VW are also unbeleivable... so if clutch is not an issue the DSG would be the way to go... I have a Jetta TDI, with the DSG, 1.9L PD and it gets a steady 45mpg city and 55mpg hwy with AC on... and its in no way slow...

My catera has been getting about 17 city and around 24hwy and this week I set a new record for city, 10mpg, yes thats 4 galons for 42miles, but mostly cold starts and extreemly short trips...  :'(
