I know Vauxhall made the Mig to take on the likes of Mercedes & BMW excutive saloons in it's heyday, probably why it only came in 4dr version, and towards the end they slotted in a 3.2 in MV6 form.  But i truely think at the end of the day, Vauxhall wimp'ed out on making a VXR version of the Mig.

Okay, so they played around with a V8 prototype version to assess the possibility of putting it into production. But then turned around and said there's cooling issues !  :-?.  If a manufucture can't work their way around issues like that, soemthings wrong surely ??.  Different V8 engine, and a 2 or 3-core radiator would surely solved it ?.

Ford took what was basically a ford 2.0 pinto block, reinforced it, bolted a turbo on it, shoved it into a 3dr cosy body, and then upped the power in the later models, and they could get 450bhp easy and even road going versions could take on Porsches at the time.  I think the Omega got over looked quite abit.

Yep, nice 2dr with v8 & supercharged would be very nice....... Wonder if my x6 numbers will come up on the lotto this week ??  ::)  ;D  ;D

IIRC, GM didn't have a V8 that'd stand up to full-throttle cruises on the autobahn at 150mph, so canned the project.

Don't worry about the wheels Andy.  Was going to log onto OOF later in the evening to see if you'd answered, then ended up watching a film and falling asleep (obviously a good film !!), and could be bothered - Wish I had logged on now  :-/ .

Not to worry, still on the look out.  Definatly think the wheels will be the icing on the cake at the end of the day.

Thanks for parceling up the goodies. Look forward to receiving them.

Still not got the boot spoiler on as yet, car was supposed to be going in for the work last week but a delay, so off in next week now !.
