Key fob help needed please

Just came to lock the car no joy :-? the boot won't open nor will it lock the doors electronically. if I lock it manually with the key it will unlock electronically but not lock it again, try the spare set same thing happens any thoughts please :-/

try teaching the remote fob.
Put the key in the ignition and turn until you have the ignition lights on. (don't start the car)
Within 2 seconds either press lock or unlock. The door latches will go down and up.
Take the key out of the ignition completely and then try to lock/unlock the car with the door's closed.

Give that a try and see what happens.
Then again it could be the battery in the fobs or the immobiliser/alarm battery packing up.

Problem sorted  :) got in the car this morning and noticed the door open buzzer was sounding even though the door was closed presumably switch sticking, took  the keys out of the ignition tried the fob bingo  it works. Can only presume that if the car  assumed that the door is open it will not allow electronic locking of the door
