To be fair, I did say it was not as it seems this week, so here are the answers:
Sunday driving quiz this week has a twist.........Some of todays questions are not what they seem.

WAVE AT THEM AS YOU DRIVE UNDER THE BRIDGE THEY ARE USING TO CROSS IF YOU LIKE.
3. What is the national speed limit on a dual carriageway? a)50mph b)60mph c)70mph
SCARY HOW MANY GOT THIS WRONG. IT IS 70MPH
4. You are driving on a Motorway. On the gantry above your lane you see an aroow which points up and left. (a bit like a number 7). What does this mean? EVEN MORE SCARY THIS ONE!!!!! SIGN MEANS LEAVE THE MOTORWAY AT THE NEXT EXIT.
5. You look in your mirror and you see a police car with blue flashing lights. What should you do?
NOTHING, THE POLICE CAR IS GOING THE OPPOSITE WAY. JUST BECAUSE YOU SAW IT DOESN'T MEAN IT WAS COMING UP BEHIND YOU.
6. You are stuck in a queue on the Motorway for 5 minutes. you are in lane 3. Just as the traffic starts moving your car stalls and won't start. You realise you have run out of fuel. What should you do? a) Stay in the car and put your hazard lights on. b) get out and run to the hard shoulder. c) get out and wait near the car in the central reservation d) get out and walk back up the Motorway to warn others of your car by waving from the central reservation. ANSWER IS D.
7. You are driving along a road. You see a car broken down and the driver is displaying a small blue flag from the window with the outline of a wheelcahir on it. What does this mean?
ANSWER IS THAT THE DRIVER IS DISABLED AND IS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE.
8. If you are parked on a yellow line and come back to your car to find a parking attendent writing out a ticket, you can get in a drive off before they stick the ticket on the car you won't get a fine. True or false. ANSWER IS TRUE. THE TICKET HASN'T BEEN ISSUED UNTIL IT IS PLACED ON THE OFFENDING VEHICLE. HOWEVER, SOME LESS-THAN-HONEST PARKING ATTENDENTS WILL JUST THROW THE TICKET AWAY AND SAY THEY PUT IT ON THE CAR.
9. Before moving away from the kerb you should look: a) at your left blind spot b) at your right blind spot c) at both blind spots ANSWER IS C) BOTH BLIND SPOTS
10. The fastest I ever drove in the UK was 152mph with four in the car. The police did see me. Why was I not prosecuted?
I WAS WORKING FOR ROLLS ROYCE CARS AND WE HAD A DAY OUT AT M.I.R.A IN LEICESTERSHIRE. I WAS DRIVING A BRAND NEW BENTLEY TURBO R. 3 OTHERS IN THE CAR AND WE ACHIEVED 152MPH AVERAGE OVER THE PARALLEL MILE. POLICE HAD A STAND ON THE DAY FOR ADVISE ETC.
