newbie needing diesel bits please
« on: 04 January 2011, 17:19:28 »

hi all, new to here, got myself a 95 2.5td  estate but new years eve my drive belt decided to fail snapping with it the drive belt deflection lever so in need of one of those and the lower pully/bolt that goes with it, having trouble sourcing a secondhand one and as this was a cheap runabout im reluctant to pay vauxhall/bmw prices, would be gratefull if anyone knows where to find one? tried the usual local breakers, ebay etc
many thanks

Will move to the parts wanted section, and worth searching the threads in there if you haven't already done so.

I'll amend the header once moved so its more parts wanted specific as well.....   :y

If you've snapped the tensioner try local breakers the 525/325 BMW or range rover 1996-98 2.5 have the same tensioner

yeah i have been asking for those cars also,  seems noone has any in at the mo, even emailed a few people breaking them on ebay with no joy either, the actual tensioner is fine its the bottom half of the deflection lever thats snapped off with the pulley aswell
