mobile extension / add-on
« on: 16 August 2007, 22:14:00 »

Is there a mobile extension for Yabb?

I accessed the site on my Nokia N80, on the train today, the site was surprisingly quick...

I could view posts including images fairly fast, but I was unable to log in.  :-/

Strangely, I was going through the log analyser about 5mins ago, and noticed some mad fool had a 'Nokia Mobile Browser'!

No specific mobile plug in. No reason why you can log in, if your phone handles cookies properly.

Certainly my phone works with it, obviously layout get a little screwed. Later Windows phones scale the screen.

You probably noticed another idiot acessing it with a PocketPC. Came across my old one and tried.. Not a total success. Once all the pictures , etc. had loaded I had about 1/8th of the screen with the posting text in!

Noticed the updated version of firmware has settings in IE to disable pictures so may give that a go.

It actually looked good on the phone, the Nokia browser scales the content well to fit the screen, might try installing Opera for Symbian, see how that goes...

No, don't notice, as I often use one of my pocketpcs to check site.
