What they mean is that they are concentrating on the drivers doing over 100mph rather than all people doing over 70mph.

I can understand this, uses less Police and to be honest - should they go after the 85 people or the 100 people?

I sort of know the road and it is not brilliant, but you can safely drive over 70 on it.

They are basically moving back to old style Policing - go after the extremes rather than all.

I understand what they mean but shouldn't the BBC be able to communicate properly in the English language? We have had a number of conversations on here about standards and this is, IMHO, another example of the poor standards in this country today.

Rant over, for now.

i drive up and down that road regularly and the speeds that some people pass me is unreal :o especially for a dual carridgeway!!

some of those corners are very dodgy as well, there are 2 or 3 that have adverse camber, all it takes is a moments lack of concentration

How do they mean 'continually'? as in driving 100mph for a long distance? or repeatedly driving at 100mph on different ocassions? If the latter then this means repeated offenders who were already caught and fined in the past. If so then I am not sure I know what they mean by 'concentrating' on these people, surely anyone being caught several times driving at over 100mph will find him/her self in deep trouble anyway, regardless if it is on this particular stretch of road or in other parts on the UK?

I rest my case. This article is 76 words in total and they have totally messed it up. This is supposed to be the premier broadcaster in the country (world?) and they can't even get a simple job like this right. What else is mis-reported or just plain wrong?
