3.2 Manuals..... love to try one out!

Would guess Thames Valley are using Volvo's or something now though.

lol... my dad had one a few years back (2.2 DTI) and it was slow as hell, just as well cos it handled like a boat that had taken on a lot of water  ;D ;D

Are the cops really that strapped for cash these days that they're using such dire cars? Down my folks' way they're using a few BMW 535d, I know cos there was one outside the local nightclub last time I was down and I staggered over at 3am for a chat :D Gave them a bit of a slagging for driving automatics, although I was in full knowledge that BMW in their infinite wisdom only sold a manual 535d in the US :o... it seems suddenly the US is a hotbed of driving enthusiasts whereas Europe is full of boring old farts ;). They do sell the 335d in manual worldwide though.

Yeah it's still a diesel, but it's 280 BHP and about 410 lb ft torque out of the box... a little more than a Vectra DTI ;)

lol... I don't know much about their tractor engines, but I do know their V8 is a damn sight easier to work on than the Omega's V6 for most jobs that I'd be prepared to undertake.

Have you all seen the episode where Pat & Carl cook the clutch in their green unmarked V6 trying to ram that little scrote in the datsun!?!  :o

He got away, Pat was so fuming that he jumped out and booted his size 12's right up the side of it!  ;D  :-[
