central locking motor removal - how easy?

Hi all,2001 model drivers door( sometimes works then it won't), removed all panels.. is it just the screws on the outer door edge holding it in place. still seems to be very tight for hand access.

Not sure how accessible on the facelift but if you remove the holding screws on the pre facelft It should move up and be able to unhook without any probs, not sure if its the same for the facelift model.

Hi, Can't see them being that different...have not undone the securing bolts yet, just wanted too make sure.

20 minute job on pre facelift ( removed one yesterday) just be carefull with card etc for refitting.

Cant see it being much more complicated on facelift.. ;)

On facelifts, and pre facelifts with 4 airbags, its CRITICAL that the ploythene sheets to put back on and is airtight-ish, as the pressure switch in door controls side bags.

Also, for same reason, advisable to disconnect battery before working on door...
