Got 'em!  Yet another thing in the big box o' toys in the trunk.  Look like I should have everything by end of day tomorrow.

Why do you store your tools in an elephants nose...?

He's carrying them round for me until I do the cambelt and can drive the car!  The run to Heathrow today might be a bit slow, but once we're on the M25 we'll still get slowed by traffic  ::)

Btw, any luck finding the torque settings for the cam covers?

OK, latest update;

Have almost all the tools.  Ended up with 2 sets of E-sockets?!  Don't ask.  Have 2 torque wrenches.  Still could use 1 more adapter.  I have a 3" extension for the 3/8" ratchet and a 5" extension for 1/2 drive, should I get a longer one for 3/8" drive?  Also need to get T45 to do the oil.

Have all of the parts, except for the 16 o-rings.  Will go by VX dealer tomorrow to pick those up.  Have oil, filter, coolant, rad flush, carb cleaner, and degreaser.  Will get more paper towels and liquid detergent.  Might need to get pan to catch oil.

Plan to spend time tomorrow organising and printing out all of the instructions, and the advice that people have been giving me.  Also plan to watch DVD and take notes.  I can not count on Internet access or the ability to see the DVD where I will be working.

Lastly I will be charging my mobile and entering numbers, so be forewarned!   :o  Eh, I've done SOHC cambelts on inline engines in much tighter installations, this shouldn't be too bad.  ;)  My biggest concern is that the front crank seal is bad and that I won't be able to get one until Monday.  :-/

Double check your sump plug is T45, and not the older 19mm bolt (possible someone's changed it).

Good Luck!

Just watched the DVD (had to reboot in Mac OS?).  Can I spin the motor without 1/2" ratchet?  Just abuse the torque wrench?  Also, what size spanner do I need for the pipe that goes to that thing next to the throttle cable?

Can't answer the 1/2" Q.

For the EGR, I always use pipe pliers or adjustable spanner, as its bigger than my biggest spanner (22mm). 19mm spanner for vacuum hose, 19mm and 17mm (I think) for fuel lines if you take off injector stuff (when you do cam gaskets...)
