Rear shocks - advice needed.
« on: 24 September 2006, 21:54:31 »

Hi guys, My '99  3.0 elite has just sailed through her MOT.  BUT Tester said he had to note that rear shocks were leaking slightly & showing a misting of oil & would need replacing for next year. I think they are the self levelling type as they seem to have a pipe or wire going to them. I would like to try & source a good used pair from the forum, but am not sure what to ask for. can anyone advise me please? Thanks, From Big Al

If you can find someone near you with a tradeclub card, they are not that expensive from dealer (around £60 each IIRC)

Forget second hand ones. These are something you replace with new.

They are self levelling and are a dealer only part.

Cost on trade club is around £60 (+ vat) each side (or £95 + vat retail) as Jaime says.
