Ok some good news at last *I hope*. went and saw the garage today and they say it had slipped slighty (i immediatly thought Ouuuuuchhh) then they said they have re timed it and it runs perfectly just waiting on a couple of replacement parts and i can have my meega back with no damadged valves!

Good result  :y

Ok went to go and get my car today *finally* and then when i went to go start it she was running really badly the tappets were noisy and the car was chugging as if something major was wrong The interior light would go dimmer and brighter with the rpm of the engine which ws fluctuating. I think i may have valve damadge after all so i cam e home in a rather bad mood over what should have been a great day!  >:(

either take it back to them tell them you are rejecting the work done and mention trading standards....

or find another reputable garage, or consult AA ( the) see what advice they can offer with a view to diagnosis - although i wouldnt be paying anything elsewhere to fix it yet.... >:(

Yeah not going to be paying another garage to fix it just yet so do you recon with what has gone on valve damadge is the most likely candidate?
