Exhaust & MPG.
« on: 29 November 2006, 00:58:55 »

Fitted a new Vx. exhaust from the Cats. back on Friday. The old one was rusted away in front of the rear box and the tail pipe had fallen off. :o
MPG went from 26.3 to 27.7  :)
Has anybody else had that happen? Or is it just a coincidence?

Its not unusual.....the Vaux parts are pretty free flowing plus old exhausts do get clogged up which will effect economy....

mine went up too with a new GM zorst, really is silent with a propper rust free GM zorst.

I noticed quite a big differnce of a 2/3 mpg better. Guess you using less power as its not escaping early in the exhaust i guess, i found i was giving it less stick up hills but going faster than before!  :o ;D
