Omega roof bars
« on: 11 September 2007, 13:58:45 »

Does anyone know if firstly the saloon can have roof bars fitted and if so a rough price for a cheap set.....only ask as im away to Philippines and Hong Kong in a few weeks and really could do with borrowing a friends roof box (universal type i believe).

Also any idea what sort of weight they will hold and any safety issues with these roof boxes. :question

Are you driving your omega to the Philipines, is that why you need the extra space ;D ;D

Only joking, I have a set of roof bars for a saloon omega with locking bolts and a large roof box, I used to travel around europe alot and the extra space the roof box has handy :y

;D No i should have said im driving the car to heathrow then catching a plane to Hong Kong then philippines.....trouble is the wife insists on coming and she wants to bring the twins so that's 2 large suit cases.....2 hand luggage bags.....babies bags.....double buggy and 4 of us in the car.

Somehow i don't think were going to fit....seeing as how the twin buggy takes up 80% of the boot on its own. :o

Friend mentioned he has a roof box but no available roof bars...its at times like this i regret hitting that car park wall in the Estate  and then going back and doing it again. ;D ;D

if the result is

Feet : 951

Bars : 761

the answer is yes ... if it's any other numbers .. the answer is no .. :)
