Where did you get the bolts, do VX do extended ones? Torx bolts aren't so easy to find in the required size. Oh and what type of sealant, I'm assuming it's not just some silicone?  

the grey sealant that sused to stick metal to metal - ie oil cooler

Don't suppose you have any left over?  

Knowing VX they'll probably want to sell me a 5 litre bottle of the stuff . Last time I was in getting a few bits n bobs I asked for some of the plastic screws that hold the trim below the glovebox... "yes 23p each sir, but we only sell them in packs of 100".  There are only 5 or 6 in the whole car
