2.5TD temp gauge

A question for 2.5TD tractor owners....

You temp gauge has 2 numbers on it at 1/4 and 3/4 of gauge.  What are these numbers, and what year is your car?

Reason I ask is that my 98 tractor gauge beared no resemblence to ECU reading, so I connected Tech2 to the instrument panel, and read live data from there.  The reading with what the instrument panel is saying the gauge should read, and what the gauge reads is different.  Its as if mine should have 80 and 100 on the gauge....

Gauge starts to move at about 70 (according to instrument ECU)
Gauge reads 90 when ECU reads 80 ish
Car cruises at 95 on gauge, ECU says 91 - 92

It all seems to tie in with mine being an 80 - 100 gauge (as used on facelifts).  I guess I need to find another mini facelift TD dash to test :(

Has the reading given on your dash always been wrong or is it a recent thing?

Would be strange if the accuracy of its reading changed over time, would it not??

Its a project car, only had 4 weeks, so don't know....

Got my thermocouple temp. meter working to check your actual coolant temperature but didnt find out that you were in Notts.

I can get readings from the engine ECU, and from the instrument ECU - both use different sensors in the head, about 9" apart.

The instrument one reading slightly lower than the engine one, probably between 5 and 10 degrees different...
