Hi,

I have a 2.5v6 Saloon , manual.

Want to have an lpg conversion. The questions i have got are:

1: Does LPG make you lose a bit of power? (been told that)
2: If so can i flip between lpg and normal petrol?
3: If so will i regain the performance when on normal fuel?
4: How much do they cost roughly?

Regards

Matt

1 Yes
2 Yes
3 Yes
4 V6....around 2k if you pay someone to do it

How can the 10bhp be got back?

If that is right then i would consider ripping out the normal fuel tank , lines and everything else and just run on lpg

Would i get a reduction in road tax if it was just an lpg car too?

LPG systems piggy back on the petrol system unless you want to replace the electrical system

Also what happens if you run out of gas?

V6 - 800 notes DIY.

As Martin says abov - LPG can't really run without starting on petrol.  Even if it could it'd cost sihit loads to replace existing ECU/Looms and the rest of the gubbins that make the car run on petrol!  Too much of a pain in the a*see in my book.  It's best to let the GM ECU control the injectors and emissions.
