I have been talking with a guy on Ebay who is selling a nice looking Elite estate. he mentioned in the listing that the airbag light is on, but that the main airbags will still deploy. I pointed out that they won't but of course he has been assured by vx that they 'might' work.

If he pops in here, which I have suggested I would be grateful if someone will confirm that he might die and then cannot sue the main agent!

My uderstanding, after having a few airbag light problems, is if the light is on, the airbags will not work.

Dealer and TheBoy have both told me that.

The airbags are controlled off the same circuit.
If the llight is on, it means quite simply, that safety feature is inoperative!

As per usual, the individual at the dealer does not have a clue what he is talking about!!

Why do people have such blind faith in the words of someone who simply works there??

Light on - no SRS.

(means no airbags, no pre-tensioners, pretty light and, at the very least, a fee to reset).
