« on: 27 June 2007, 20:57:33 »

Hi all , i'm new to this site so be gentle with me,  I have just purchased a x reg 2.0 Omega, problem is it will not start now and there are no lights on the dashboard displayed when ignition is switched on.  headlights work as does stereo and electric windows but the engine just turns over with nothing happening. could it be the main ignition relay ??????  Please can some one help.   :) ;)

Do you mean you get no ignition lights? If you do get ignition lights then it could be the crankshaft sensor.

Check for a spark first and make sure you have fuel for starts ;)

pop the dash out, and check there is a bulb (some sellers remove bulb to hide engine management light).  Once you have a bulb in there, do a 'paperclip' test...

just curious.. did you buy it as a non-runner with a view to repair?
