Fog Light Switch
« on: 02 August 2007, 21:29:34 »

HI all,

I have bought a nice 95 M 2.5 V6 GSI with Autobox and have to say what fun it is. The only thing that i have a problem with is the front fog light switch seems to be stuck on does anyone able to tell me how to take it out to clean the connectors or replace it.

The other thing is i dont seem to have an owners manual does anyon have an electronic copy of can tell me what all the lights on the dash are especially the ones between the speedo and the clock / temp. and apart from the sports buttonwhat is the other one next to the selector.

Many Thanks

The other on next to the selector, I assume you mean the picture of the snowflake, starts off in a higher gear in soft ground, like snow. Also helps in muddy fields as I can testify to after towing my caravan onto a very muddy campsite on Saturday.  :)

GSI - new one on me..

post up in the bits wanted section for the manual - someones bound to have one.

I had the fog light sticking problem too.  Could only get it off by sort of flicking it in at the bottom with my finger tip and letting it spring out - impossible to describe  better I'm afraid.  Always thought it would fail an MOT on it.    I guess you could try a squit of dry lube , or otherwise a trip to the breakers.

Sorry my mistake it is a GLS, think it might be a trip to the breakers then as it doesnt seem to be budging.
