So you don't think it's any good then? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Still, has got to be more pleasant buying that at Halfords than extracting the marinade for the other option?  ;D

Problem is, tappets are pretty much a dead-end in the oil circuit. Once they're full there's very little flow through them hence why they are the first part to get clogged. It also means that any additive that's put in and run for 10 minutes isn't going to get into the tappets at all.

Best to take the long term view and give them clean fresh oil over 10k miles or so. They may quieten. Either that or have them out and clean them properly.

Stuff the additives, regular oil changes are key. Don't be worried about 250m changes initially - I'm doing that currently with tractor...

I've just changes oil and filter and plan to change again in 500 miles.  I though 500 miles was a bit short but do you think 250 miles for a few changes will make all the difference?

The previous owner of the car changed oil with every service at 10k intervals, i guess this is why i am suffering a little now?

IMHO Wynns tappet treatment is absolute crap! I have used it 4 times now and it makes not one diddly of difference. You would have more luck if you used a kangaroos penis marinated in Anne Whiticombes sweat.

I personally think you have more chance of finding a solid gold magic fridge on a council tiup, with a winning lottery ticket inside than quietening down Omega V6 tappets.

Come on Fin, how the hell are we supposed to get sweat from Anne Whiticombe, be reasonable mate ;D ;D ;D
