has anybody tried the hid kits on ebay? my omega has hid dip but i would hid main beam but i am very worried about the quailty of these kits do any of you recommend any of the kits on ebay? how long do you think they would last?(probably not very long like most things that are sold on ebay)anybody got any experience?

seeing as main beam very good, i wouldn't bother....

Are HIDs ever used as main beams? I'd assumed they probably don't like being turned on and off frequently, and that the warmup time would be a bit of an irritation. However, the Omega is the only car with HIDs that I've experienced  :-/

i think the new cars today have hid main beam as they use some different type of ballasts and some of the hid kits on ebay say that they are suitable for dip + main beam just wandering if anybody had any experence with the quailty of these kits thanks

Some of the kits I'd seen used the same bulb for dip and main, which moves in and out depending on whether dipped/main.  I still say the Omega HID setup is so good that its not worth messing with
