running problems

Ok now our mate has just gone up to get this vauxhall omega he has been travelling all the way from birmingham no problem at all till he got about an hour from home when it suddenly started juddering at around 50mph running below 50mph it is ok . Hubby has not driven it himself so he cant say what he may think it is he is still waiting for the bloke to get back and to be honest this fella is a bit blooming useless lol. so any ideas from you guys would be really handy.

Sounds a little like wheel balancing? Will have to elaborate more on the symptoms  :y

Juddering or steering wobbling?

If juddering It would sound like possible DIS pack failure, if steering wobble sounds like a wheel weight has come off and one of the front wheels is now out of balance. Does the car drive fine at 70? If so it sounds more like wheel balance.

ok Hubby has been out in it today and it is not juddering like the wally said what it does is when you get to around 50mph it is as though it is holding back and not performing as well as it should it will pick up then hold back again .Any ideas would be appreciated .

EML staying off? If so, suspect HT problems, start first looking for oil in plug wells...
