Spot on - and having done this job that sealant is a right PITA to get out, best put in a "gun"

Oh and dont read the warnings on the back of it - they will scare you

I never read them, only read instructions when you are stuck!

The oil cooler plate has a low torque setting, i invested in a torque wrench to get it right.

I used a standard 'gun' for pastes, came out very smoothly for me, no issues.

When fitting:

Put the oil cooler in first, then the plate without sealent. get the cooler in the right place, remove plate, gunk up and re-fit, using your clean fingers in the oil cooler as a guide. Insert it at an angle towards the passenger bank, then down. It will go in smoothly that way....  :y

Thankyou all for your advice. I am glad i took the p/n for the cooler as without that OLD p/n i would have had to pay £236 instead of £90 ::)
Many thanks
