Heated rear seats
« on: 14 September 2007, 19:40:06 »

Hi Chaps
My kids are complaining about the lack of heated rear seats in the CDX.
Has anyone retro fitted them to standard velour seats ? is it possible to retro fit ? are the rear heated pads the same as the front ?
I have all wiring and switches now for the rear, but it is not something you see for sale on ebay very often.
If they are the same as the fronts, it would be good as these are readily available.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best Regards

Mike

Hi, I have successfully added the heater pads to the rear seats in my CDX a few years ago. As I recall you will need:

1. 2 X heater pads for seat bases (I did not bother with the heaters in the seat backs)
2. Heater relays (i think there are two)
3. Small section of wiring loom
4. 2 X switches for rear sectionof centre consul
5. Switch housing cover for above.

The wiring is straight forward and you will find a connector into the main loom under the rear seat base. I think the switch connectors and wiring are also in situ in the centre consul
You need to strip off the cloth trim of the heater base, stick down the heater pads with double sided tape then replace  everything.

May be just easier to get some seats from and Elite being broken - esp with the cloth types going for virtually zero money.
