If you take your time and fit in a couple of coffee/smoke breaks, a couple of hours without rushing (and no drawbacks).  If you get any probs then who knows......   :'(

Allow an hour per side plus your setting up and clearing away time.

Barry.. I too have never done this job, but if we can link in, and you want an extra pair of hands....

I'm happy enough to come up and give you a hand/work through the guide, just to get the experience.

Won't cost you anymore than a cuppa :y

:'( having just replaced the handbrake cable which snapped just before mot and put new shoes in the drums AND spent the best part of 3 days on my back wriggling about under near 2tonne of omega, working in real tight area's doing the cable adjustment, I NEVER WANT TO SEE ANOTHER AGAIN ;)

That said, the drums can be a little tight to remove and tbh the guide here was invalueable since I'm not that good with mechanics and those stupid little adjusters inside the drums, AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!  :'( >:(   Good luck, think I make it sound worse than it actually is mind. ;)
