Radiator fans switches 2.5TD
« on: 21 October 2007, 14:18:53 »

Exactly where are these (assuming that there are 2, one for low speed & another for high speed)?
I have removed the plastic cover that sits on top of the radiator & peered down the sides of the radiator, but the only wiring in the vicinity of the radiator seems to be that which goes to the fans themselves (connector low near-side)

WITH AIRCON THERE ARE 2 SWITCHES MOUNTED ON THE RAD ITSELF, both on the nearside of the car both in the engine side of the rad, top one does slow speed fans bottom does high speed,
without aircon you only get the one switch the top one but its a double action switch does both high and low speed ,
hope that helps

I don't have aircon but cannot see any switches on the rad!
Does anyone by any chance hace a photo to point me in right direction?
Even a diagram would do
IW
(could they possibly be behind the cowling in which the viscous fan runs??)

Without A/C, the single switch is immediately below top hose, and has a 3 pin connector.

If its failed, it has an ident code (eg, XJ) on it. Replacement must have same ident code.
