No its not overheating and is running fine i was just concerned that the needle was moving about a bit, probably just me and because its a new car im looking out for anything that could be a problem.

All my other cars ive had havent moved about but ive never owned an omega and like you say there all different.

But looks like i won't be driving it until i have replaced the Crank sensor

Thanks for the guide looks simple enough

THAT 19 CODE COULD BE AN OLD CODE FROM BEFORE YOU GOT THE CAR MATE, AND WAS NOT CLEARED SO IT SHOULD BE OK. AS YOU SAY IT IS RUNNING OK SO DONT WORRY TO MUCH. :y

When you get a chance get the code cleared and then after a month or so have the codes checked again to see if it has reappeared. if it does then suspect the crank sensor. :y

Come to think of it tho twice ive started the car and its fired then died and one time i when trying to restart the engine turned and it didn't fire then second attempt it went.

Would this be a result of a dodgy crank sensor?

YES IT COULD but it could also be a case of the key fob not talking to the immobiliser but that could flash the eml. you could go on and on mate trying to convince your self that you have a prob. Vx have had over the years fitted some very flaky senors to their cars and sometimes they flash up a code when there is not a prob but i do understand your nervous as this is the first omega you have had. As an example i had not had my  car too long when OIL LACK appeared on the mid, i pulled over and checked my oil level and was un sure what to do but as i had no oil light on the dash drove home and made some enquires, only to be told dont worry it is the sensor on the sump that is a bit flakey.  OMEGAS ARE MADE TO GIVE YOU GREY HAIR MATE [IF YOU HAVE ANY THAT IS] ;D iF YOU DO HAVE ANY THEN YOU SOON WONT ;D

If i disconnect the battery tomorrow for 5 will that get rid of the fault codes? Then i can run it for abit and if the fault code pops up again i know its not an old fault?  ;D
