If you remove the colour coded door mouldings on the facelift door, there is a series of holes about 5-6cm apart along the length of the door to clip the moulding to the door and there is a screw at each end of the moulding which you loosen from the inside of the door,
the pre-facelift door strip is held by double sided sticky foam and 2 plastic clips one at each end

Yes you can, if you wait until tomorrow I'II get some pic's of my black mv6 doors which have the door strips removed at the mo and you'll see what I'm talking about :y

i think the hinges are a bit different, have put a pre f/l door on a f/l before and it would only open up about 2/3rds of the way! had to get a grinder on the hinge
not sure about f/l on a pre f/l tho
