Dashboard warning lights
« on: 14 February 2008, 15:57:13 »

Im wondering if my warning lights are working. When I turn the ignition on I get an orange light with a picture of an engine on. I always assumed this was the EML. I have seen a few posts about a light with a spanner on it and looking closesly at my dash I can see that picture but it doesnt light up when I turn the ignition on. If I look in the user manual it says that I should have either the engine block light OR the spanner light. Is that correct ? Is the engine block light the EML, should the spanner light come on with the ignition too ?

Hi,

Orange light with spanner comes on as well as EML on mine, then both go off when engine started.

I can confirm that it works in 2.2 but doesnt work in 2.0. Don't know why, but might be just new ECU.
