eml coming on 4500
« on: 19 February 2008, 20:24:21 »

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help, i have a 3.0 elite 1995 omega its been a dream no problems for 2 years however the hose went on hbv water was spraying everywere i changed hose since then the car starts runs fine until you push it hard then at about 4,500 revs it stutters eml light comes on if you back off light goes off and it picks up again, i thought it might be dis pack so i changed it no difference, i looked on this sight did paper clip test got 12,14,19,  12 is normal i believe 14 is coolant temp sensor low voltage, so i have changed that but its still the same, but i really dont want to keep spending money blindly on it.

19 is crank sensor ... relatively easy to change and a must if showing a fault ...  it WILL fail totally and leave you stranded...

There's a "How to" in the maintenance guide I believe....

yup .. here it is .. :)

Well you need to change the crank sensor, as that will fail anyway.  See if changing it helps
