Hi , my father has a 2.0 GLS W Reg 2000 omega petrol last week the oxegen emmission light come on dash board have changed the senser in the cat lamber senser but the light still shows does the faults need clearing from ECU to clear the emmission light from dash or could the fault be something else has any one else had any problems with this fault.
any help would be greatful

Didn't know there was one on a 2.0L GLS.  :-/

Do a Paperclip test IAW the following link and see what codes you get.

Thanks for info is it ok to use the paper clip test on later models i read a post some where saying it doesnt work on 2000 onwards

Works on all 2.0L/2.5L/3.0L as far as I'm aware.

It's the 2.2L/2.6L/3.2L that it won't as I understand it.

The 2000 2.0L should be a Simtec system with 4 digit codes.
So do it with ignition on and engine NOT running.

thanks for your help, have you ever changed a camshaft senser on 2.0 gls w reg is it difficult to change ?

Its realy easy, pop the cam cover off and spark plug cover.

Remove the bolt in between the two cam pulleys that holds the sensor in place and remove the sensor.
