PIB's MID
« on: 09 March 2008, 19:35:57 »

Is doing my head in >:(

Out for a drive on a dual carriageway sitting at 70mph reset the Average Speed plus the Consumption. For a while it was behaving average speed read 69mph and Consumption read 35.7mpg. The Range seems to be working fine went up to around 450... Happy Days.
Came off the dual carriageway then started to play silly buggers again, 16mph average speed, 18mpg Consumption, and the Range read like this.....

       Range
 F                  miles

after around 10-20 seconds the Range reappeared but the consumption and average speed still a stupid numbers >:(

Any Ideas??
Gonna try seeing if the plug is connected properly at the back tomorrow, if that doesn't work will a 3.0 litre MID with 225/55/16 wheels work ok in a 2.5 with 225/55/16?? :-[

It will work, but FC functions will be inaccurate.

FC - Fuel Computer

So it works perfectly, except the range goes rubbish?  What did fuel gauge do at the time?

The Range I think is about right, but keeps getting this F           miles, then the Range will come back on again at the range it was at before it went off and the "F" came on...
The Consumption and Average speed hardly ever reads correctly >:(

As for the fuel gauge that just stops normal doesn't drop or go higher when the MID plays silly billy's :-?

Filled up full of fuel and worked out it must be doing around 26-27 to the gallon, but MID says 18mpg  ;D
