Does anyone know if part no 93171524 is the correct one for the oil filter housing head?

Cheers,
Iain

Hello Iain,

I was told that was the part no. by my Vx dealer so I purchased one (£9.55+vat) only to find it was the wrong part.

After I made them accept it as a return (they made the balls up!) they ordered part no. 90542605 (£22.15+vat) and that was the correct part.

Hope that helps - I changed mine in April 07.

Hi Iain,

This is the state mine was in when I bought the car. The large "nut" was completely gone and a rather unhealthy chip out the side of it.

They sent me a new one with filter - but it was wrong!

This is the wrong part number 93171524 - it looks very similar but is smaller in diameter and shorter so doesn't fit.

Hope that is some help to you
