WHATS THAT VIBRATION,   oooh er
« on: 19 March 2008, 19:11:35 »

Well i'm getting used to the car now ( had it 4 days) and have discovered a worrying vibration.
not noticeable all the time but is frequent and constant when present, seems to increase with speed. ( a kind of thrumm thrumm ) also as the revs build slowly there comes a harsh vibration just before auto box changes up, its like driving over a series a small ripples in road surface, only its not road condition. This is not a regular vibration but is of some concern as i feel vibes through pedals and gear lever.
Any ideas guys as i blew the budget buying car and need to sort these probs before they get v.exspensive :'(

would guess its gbox related sounds like its slipping slightly, first job is fluid and filter change!!!
As its a TD they do kill autoboxs!!

Check the engin mounts, that big heavy tractor lump has a habit of buggering them.

If its the very shoulder of the tyre worn, get geometry done (not just tracking or 4 wheel alignment) to fix the camber issue :y
