Can anyone tell me what the little dome is on the top of dash by the front window please? Is it the sensor for the remote locking?  :-? Also is there a seperate filling bottle for the rear screen wash??

The dome is the sunshine sensor for the aircon. No idea about the washer bottle but I would expect there would be just the one feeding both front and rear.

It is basically 2 integrated sensors (L&R) which monitor the suns rays into the car. So say the sun shines through the left side onto the passengers, the left side of the dual aircon/climate cools them down subsequently with cool air.

I'm also guessing your rear window washer is not working?

One pump for both front & back. Goes one direction for front screen &t'other for the rear. Try unblocking the reaar jet if it's not working. An air line freed my Astra estate rear wash.

Do the front washers work fine???

Could be a tricky one to diagnose...split pipe, blocked jet, dodgy pump?

Hi
I think you will find that it has two pumps, but only one reservoir.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

Nope, one pump for washers (front and rear) operating as described and an extra pump for the headlight washers  (if fitted)

I had problems with one of those reversing pumps on another car and I found it's got a little shuttle valve in which shuts off the front or rear port depending on which way the motor spins. Took the valve out and freed it up and it worked fine afterwards.
