Headlight
« on: 09 April 2008, 13:15:26 »

I have Xenon Headlights, I think (that's what the handbook says anyway  :-[)

I changed the parking light bulbs this morning and noticed that the reflector on the drivers side is loose, like it moves about when you touch it, Does this mean a new headlight or can it be fixed ?

Cheers
Bruce

Hi
Yes it can be fixed with patience.  You need to remove the front glass using a hot air gun to soften the adhesive.  Then repair the broken adjuster using adhesive or whatever, and then stick the front glass back on again.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

Cheers for that guys..if it's that sort of job I think I'll get a second hand one.. and to think this car passed it's MOT yesterday..that's why I was changing the parking light bulb after the MOT guy telling me that it had gone ::)
