.....
its under the scuttle so kevin told me.

Acted on by another cable? Or does the cable 'pass through' the kick down switch?

Part of the cable itself, moulded in place.

not sure........
kevin might know
looks like this. not 100% sure

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380012004649&mpt=1207852440891&tGUID=0e50835e1180a0e20277b8a7ffcc4322

Thats the one :)

Check the part number tho, I know the 3ltr one I have fitted to my 2.5 is about 5" longer, so it tucks under the scuttle at the rear.  Not sure if the 2ltr is any longer or shorter...

Hi Marie,if you ring this number and speak to either  Henry or Rupert they are the people who run the scrappers called las-jacarandas they might have another omega like yours there with a cable on it.. I have dealt with them before and they are very good. The number is 07706495877.

Two different cables for yours dependant on chassis number which are a different cable to the 2.5/3 cable.

CABLE, ASSY., ACCELERATOR, RHD (IDENT LP) (USED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) 20SE, X20SE, X20XEV  -V1999999 90448678

CABLE, ASSY., ACCELERATOR, RHD (IDENT AX) (USED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) 20SE, X20SE, X20XEV W1000001-  90572517

The V & W numbers relate to the chassis number.

Your chassis number is on your logbook or you can see it in the lower passenger side of the windscreen. Should look something like this W0L0VBF69W1244216.
Try looking on ebay for the part number.
