cam covers fitting
« on: 13 April 2008, 16:16:37 »

I have noted that my cam covers do not sit completley on the the rim of the heads in some places you can fill the gasket hanging over the rim and if you put a strate ege on them thay bend in and out a small amount as i have had a problem with leaks I am considering buying new one has eny one had the same thing.
thanks

Sounds like you have warped covers, a straight edge along the side should confirm, they tend to bow sideways if overtightened in the past (8Nm max) Had no luck trying to straighten them in an oven so new or good secondhand ones needed.
