A funny thing happened this afternoon...
« on: 07 May 2008, 21:39:08 »

...when I got home from work I found my hazards flashing! Oh no, I thought, not the dreaded alarm again (not that it makes a noise 'cos I ain't got a sounder in my car! Problems before methinks!) so I went and got the keys, got in, watched the alarm led in the sonics switch to see if it would tell me what had triggered the alarm, nothing. Started the car ok, hazards still flashing. Spotted the problem, the hazard switch had somehow jumped out, presumably in the heat :o Hmm, I thought, new one on me! Anybody had a problem with these in the heat? I sometimes have to give the switch a wiggle to get the indicators to work (standard Vauxhall hazard switch I gather) so I'm guessing its on its way out :)

Same thing happened with a mate of mine in passenger seat. He lives in Platt Bridge so I wonder if it's a local thing?

I don't know what year your car is, but dodgy hazzard switches are common on pre-facelifts and can give rise to faulty indicators.  Best get a new one if it's playing up.
