Have you got the self levelling sensor on your car?
Have a look underneath from the back of the car on the driver's side, you should see a little black bok about 3"x3" with a flat metal lever about 4" long coming out and going toward the outside of the car. All of this is attached to the chassis.
From the end of the flat metal bar is a 3" long rod hanging vertically with a double bend in it and a plastic ball joint at each end. The bottom of this is attached to your trailing arm.
This is how the car knows what level your car is at. Try using a big flat tool to pop the bottom of this bar off the trailing arm temporarily, this disables the self levelling and is easy to pop back on.
Also take a picture of your car and post it up so we can see exactly how "high" high is.
I have a similar opinion of my self-levelling Elite facelift (fitted as standard); I'll dig around and find the thread on the subject then pop back to edit this post with the link.
