Have you got the V6 timing kit/tools to the the 2.5 and 3.0 engines James.?
What about ones for the 2.6 and 3.2 as well ::) ;D

Same kit, just slightly different process.

Yep, I have the kit for all V6 engines. Not the cheapo one either. This is one area where you don't cut corners!

Personally I think you should PM JamesV6CDX. He is very happy to do this work for members and his rates are excellent.

YOU WILL NOT HAVE A BETTER JOB DONE EITHER.

Mark DTM is still the Master  ;)

Master of what, that's the question  ;D

Plus, Daz, I remember you posting saying you were gonna give him a run for his money. I take it that, seeing as you still call him master, this means you failed?  ;D ;D

This is your youth letting you down James ;D

You and the rest of us are all apprentices compared to "The Master" we may not like it but a truth you need to swallow.....

Anyway I beat him at Timbuks ;D  didn't we Captain ;D ;D ;D

I fail to see the problem - a cambelt change is a relatively simple procedure?  :-/

What would Mark do differently/better on a cambelt change that someone else who has done several wouldn't?

Hi , Had a lovely day phoning local garages for quote on a 3.0v6 belt and tensioner change, you would have thought I was asking for one of their kidneys by their reaction, and they all seem terrified of the job, why? None bar the main dealer would touch it.

I have a good guy who would do it but doesn't have the locking kit for a 3.0 but does for the 2.5, Im curious if these would be actually the same kit? I would rather get a second hand kit or hire one than pay £450 to vauxhall. Any suggestions. Im pretty handy but havent done a belt and dont fancy starting with a v6.Cheers Jon

How far is Wigan from your bit of Scouse land? I have a locking kit you're welcome to borrow. I work at Kitt Green if you want to journey into pie eating country.  ;)

Not too far TBH and appreciate your offer, I might take you up on that. Any good pie shops in the locality?

The last belt kit went on 35,000 ago so hopefully I dont need to sweat for a couple of thousand miles :-/

I never actually said that it wasn't.... but there seems to be a few on here who think you are the Man as it were..... I am not saying your not good, but I have not come across anyone so knowledgeable as MarkDTM that is a fact :y

This thread goes more and more off-topic with every post!

The OP was looking for a service, and a couple of members recommended one - aside of that I think all of the irrelivent posts need weeding out, if this is to make any sense.
