Rocker cover gasket change...
« on: 20 July 2008, 10:55:05 »

Hi,

Energised by all the forum advice and recommendations, I have decided to attempt the rocker cover gasket change today. Bought the genuine Vx gaskets, seals and the sealant.

Wanted  to double confirm the torque value for the rocker cover bolts are 20Nm. Is this correct?

cheers

IIRC, 8nm isn't it?

20nm and you'll be doing the job twice!

Make sure the old seal is completely removed; I used a wooden splint for mine.  I also used some spirits to clean the surface before putting back together.
