I've just got back from GM dealer, had a Tech2 plugged in, and it came out with a error code 16 - Magnetic cirrcut 2-3 - open loop (tech is on croatian, so this is my rough translation).

they have gave me this paper, which shows the part that is broken, according to the tech.

that looks like it can be changed in situ, ie just drop the sumps and remove from side  of valve block, but not completly sure.

My old 3.0 had a knackered soleniod - ended up changing the box

Would the soleniod still account for the rough 1-2 change though, or is that still likely to be slop/thrust washer?

fraid so 2-3 solenoid is on in first and second gear. no rush on the wedge bye the way
