Changing steering wheel
« on: 28 August 2008, 19:55:26 »

Hi Guys,

I need to change the steering wheel on one of my omegas as the leather is torn from the previous owner wearing rings on their fingers.

Is this possible without having to get the airbag light reset?

I plan on disconnecting the battery, then removing airbag and stereo controls, then swapping the wheel, then refitting the original airbag and switches before reconnecting the battery.

Is this ok?

thanks

Steve

Yes, just make sure you don't reconnect the battery before it's all back together.

Give it a good 10 to 15 minutes between disconnecting the battery and unplugging the airbag ;)
