Gendan fault code readers
« on: 02 September 2008, 21:37:04 »

Has anyone any experience with these tools? The site seems very honest, informative and open about what they can do for pre and post 2001 cars, they also allow free access to their code store(within limits). It seems a decent piece of kit. has anyone tried one???

IIRC, their Vauxhall specific software is ELM based, so not likely to read the engine on pre-DBW engines in an Omega. Looks interesting though. Generic ELM interfaces are available pretty cheap on ebay although their software bundled with one is not bad value, TBH.

Claims to cover auto transmission, immobiliser and ABS whereas generic ELM software normally only covers engine. I notice that, as expected, the 2.5 tractor, X25XE and X30XE engines are missing from their list. X20XEV is apparently covered though.
