Help - Just drove back from local tip and when I pulled in I noticed a line of water on floor behind car, looked underneath and found water pouring out.

Got torch and shone down side of engine under drivers side window. Water coming from what I think is heater cut off valve (one hose in one out and one small bore air hose going to it.

Is this what it is and does anyone know if I would get one a sunday as Im going to Scotland on Monday Morning???

Sounds like heater pypass valve.....not generally a part you can get other than from a dealer.....could try a scrappy as a I get you out of jail fix

Does she think you broke HER car then?

No she knows its my car but when anything breaks its always my fault. She doe not think that a part is just worn and needs replacing, they should run forever!!

I guess that by the lack of response that no one in yorkshire is breaking a 2.0 or has a spare laid around the garage. Will have to start ringing round breakers in the morning again to see if I can find one open.

They are not model specific so hbv off any omega will do. Might be worth a google for sunday breakers?
Maybe search for a Mrs with her own car as well !

Pretty sure the car out in the driveway with no engine has the HBV still on it...and your not far...can have a look 1st thing in morning for you if you like...

Hi Star_Whites

Not sure if it will help you, I have a 2.5 omega sat in my garden waiting for the scrap man to take it.  Everything is working in the heating and engine dept.  If you can get to my house in Chesterfield tommorow (Sunday 14th Sept) you are welcome to remove the part and if  you need anything else.  I will not be in but the missus will be.  If you are interested let me know asap and I will tell her to expect you.
